ok it's been a few. yesterday i volunteered at the blood drive (i got to carry blood!!) so that was good. have been discussing with friend and hallmate Aiko about her experience with the polarbear club: every thursday there's a "study break" and the polar bear members (being anyone who feels like going) go to the nearby pond and strip naked and go into the water. Aiko went with her moo leader once, we've been contemplating whether it should be attempted by us.. i'm personally a little self concious about it but would seriously want to try it at some point... hmm..

anyways otherwise i had my first french test and i got a B. i'm indifferent about it. Today i had lab, which is fun as usual, but got back last weeks quiz with a 3/7- that's an F in case you're wondering. wasn't thrilled about that. And my homework wasn't much better at a D. so so far lab grades arn't stellar. anyways enough report carding. just thought it would be nice to show you that i'm not exagerating when i say bio is ridiculous.

I had to make another web site for computer science, this one's more interesting than the last b/c i had to use JAVA script. I'm actually doing pretty well in COMP SCI it's scary because i feel myself being pulled down the timmy path everytime i enjoy doing those assignments. anyway here's the link, let me know what you think:

http://www.cs.middlebury.edu/~lwickber/day2/

Had a hall study break today where we gathered in our JC's room. She's a theatre major and pre-med. maybe i could be like katie!! unless she switches her major. well... then i wouldn't be would i.

What I'm Reading: (stole this idea from sam's blog)
For Fun- Fahrenheit 451 - good book, interesting, short. not much else to say about it. i learned in computer science that the scale of fahrenheit was set up by measuring tempertures in a certain city in spain for a year- lowest temperture set to 0, highest to 100. so it's really stupid that we all use it. here's calling for the celsius revolution!!!

For class- The professeur and the madman- about this criminally insane guy who helped write lots of entries for OED. he'd killed a guy and was locked up in an asylum, he supposidly had lots of STD's from sleeping with prostitutes. the editors of the OED didn't know this until after they'd published many of his entries, didn't take them out later either.

What I'm Watching- watched some of bridget jones's diary today, that was nice. Saw Les Choristes yesterday, had to for french but it was awesome- totally recomend it. i think it came out a year or so ago. it's adorable

what i'm not doing because i'm writing this blog: A Lab write up. We have to say what we learned from the lab. how bout- i'm retarded. she actually said we could pretty much say that. but i actually did learn from it. i always understand what we're doing and how to do it. i just can't do the quizzes!!

so for all of you who have vacation in like a week: you suck... actually you don't you're awesome and i love you and you should come visit. if you want to spend the night my roomate has an airmattress. You should all descend upon middlebury soon!! before it's too cold for me to show you around ( i got wind-burn today from riding my bike while listening to moulin rouge, it makes me peddle faster)

oh and orchestra's going well, but i feel like a newb, i desperatly need to practice more but the other trumpetors are super nice about it.

sorry that was so long, that's what i get for not writing for four days.

oh and here's what the begining's a reference to in case you didn't catch it.

Where all the lights are bright!
Damn, now that's in my head. I'll have to listen to several hours of my music to get it out.
451 was a neat book, I remember it was one of the things they had us read in Compass.
Why you throw hate at Fahrenheight system...are you trying to undermine America's cultural heritage by merging with the world culture! -Sorry, my Cultural Geography is getting to me.

it's not american, the stuborness to refuse to change to celsius is american, that's all. does "farheinheit" really strike you as the same league as the "joneses" no it doesn't

I was being facetious (LOL WORDS). I really need to tone down the sarcasm, or just make it more obvious what I'm doing....
