orientation bonanza

Hello again. midd's fun but i miss everyone. The upperclassmen arrived today and i feel like such a newb. classes start tommarow. oh yeah, classes... that's why i'm here! thursday we had a square dance which was really fun, but confusing. Friday night we went to an 80's dance, which was awesome! everybody got dressed up in leggings and ripped t-shirts along with side pony-tails. but the best part was the music: including 'love is a battlefield' 'jessie's girl' and 'like a prayer'. i was glad to discover that the whipping your shirt off during the afore-mentioned maddona song was celebrated by mostly guys, with the exception of like one girl. Last night was the 'first-chance dance' supposidly the opening to the school year but also rumored to be creepy occasion in which upperclassmen could have their first chance to hook up with freshmen. turned out to be partially true, but as most of the freshmen were drunk anyways i don't think they minded.

My dorm is pretty cool we have a floor '0' which is all boys called the dungeon, first-floor is guys, second floor (where i am) has my wing which is all girls, and another coed wing- which means they share a bathroom. i've heard it's ackward but great because you can sing duets in the shower. On the third floor it's all girls but they have ridiculously big rooms- but according to this book my roommate has it's called the nunnery and all girls who live there are supposed to be prudes, it's not true, but it makes all of us who are jealous feel a little better.

my classes end by noon everyday except thursday, if you're ever trying to get in touch. hope all is well!
